I was not sure about the khaki color but it was on a sale price. So I bought it and am glad I did. It does have some green in it. Sometimes khaki doesn’t but this one does. I am happy with it. The color, the side ties, the roomy bag, super adorable bag?I loved this bag. It was perfect and fit all of my needs. Unfortunately I need to return it as it broke within two weeks. This is definitely not something I expected from a $200 bag.This is my daily work bag and I really like it. It goes well with absolutely everything I wear. I use it to carry by 14" laptop (in a neoprene case) and a small notebook. It fits other essentials and a water bottle but not much else too bulky. I could fit a light sweater. Overall, I really like this. The leather is soft and it looks high end. I love the green/brown khaki color. I think it's pretty timeless. I have a few minor critiques worth noting. One, is that the straps are pretty short. I'm 5'3" and generally a size medium. I do not have broad shoulders in any sense. I found these to be a bit short and difficult to wear with my coats and jackets. I love in climate with cold winters so, to be fair, I do heavier layers in colder weather. I was able to loosen the straps a bit and it is not noticeable. The straps are tied in knots so I was able to loosen them and pull a little more length on each end. This resolved the issue for me but I think the bag would be improved overall with more length in the straps. Next, and this is a complaint I have with many bags, the lining is a dark solid color. This is a matter of preference but I prefer at least a tonal, subtle pattern. I find it difficult to locate things with the dark solid liner. The liner is substantial and seems like it will hold up. The pockets are basic. There is an interior zipper pocket and two smaller, shallow slip pockets. They're pretty standard but not particularly serviceable. If you're using the tote to carry a lot of smaller items, you're likely going to be using an organizer or some other pouches, etc. Overall, I do really like this and it works well for my needs.This is a gorgeous statement handbag that is sure to attract attention and get you many compliments. The leather is beautifully soft and supple. It is of good quality and the color is like nothing else I have in my collection. It's a dark rich brown with a undertone of green. For fellow Crayola crayon aficionados, this would be like a raw umber. It has a sturdy cotton lining and comes with a cotton bag for storing your handbag when not in use. Here's a tip for keeping your bags shape. Save the paper stuffing that comes inside your new handbag. Its is perfectly sized to hold your bags shape. Store this paper in the cotton storage bag. When you go to put your handbag away, put this paper back into your handbag, then slide it into the cotton storage bag. It will store better and be less likely to get smushed in your closet! This is a large bag and one you might be tempted to overstuff. Here in lies the problem. The bottom of this bag is not reinforced, there are also no protective feet or nubs on the bottom of the bag, so watch how you set it down! I really wish there was a harder bottom to this bag. Everything you put into it distorts the shape of the bag. I show the flexibility of the bottom in one of my photos. Also, for a bag this size, the decorative handles do not seem to be set up to support any real weight. There is a leather loop, the handle is fed through that loop and then knotted. While it looks stunning, over time with a heavy bag, this looks like a wearing and tearing point! Bottom line, it's a beautiful bag made from the top quality leather you'd expect from Fye, but for me, with a bag this size, I could use more structural integrity.I am a big fan of the Frye brand in general. I have their Harness 8R and12R boots as well as their Sabrina boots and I wear them constantly. I love that a few of their products (including the three boots I mentioned) are still made in USA, something that I look for when making purchases. This Nora Knotted Tote bag from Frye is imported, but the quality is consistent with the brand.The leather is beautiful and great quality with that great leather smell. It is very soft and flexible - adding to its great slouchy casual feel. I love the Khaki color, it's gorgeous and unique while remaining neutral - I find that it goes with everything in my wardrobe and transitions seamlessly through the seasons. The knotted ties add visual interest and give this bag a unique and casual look. The seaming also gives structure and looks subtly geometric.The shape is great and the size generous, making it especially great for travel or days when I need to carry a lot. It has one large compartment, secured with a magnetic closure. The interior has a zippered pocket on one side, emblazoned with the Frye logo, and a split pocket on the opposite side. The double strap lends itself to the classic tote shape and adds sturdiness and functionality to the bag. The two straps are a great length for carrying on the shoulder and the supple leather allows it to sit very comfortably. There is a very subtle embossed Frye logo centered on the front bottom of the bag - I'm not a fan of overt branding and really appreciate the subtlety.I will be happily carrying this bag for many years to come. I am really loving this Nora Knotted Tote bag from Frye and highly recommend it!
