These were easy to use. They kept the water from coming onto my back patio, which had been driving me nuts for years. They are strong and simple to maintain or move around. These bags are easy to use and very durable. However, once the sands are in, sand dusts still seeps through. If you drop it or tap on it, you will get a puff of sand dusts popper out. I don't have a lot of experiences with these types of sand bags so this might be a normal thing. I was just not expecting it to do this.I use these to hold down our trampoline and they work very well. Nicely made bags! These seem pretty much the same as the sandbags you buy at the hardware store. The material is sturdy, and it’s nice to have attached ties.We are lucky enough not to live in a flood zone or a place that gets hurricanes very rarely. We use sandbags to hold down canopies and other items that could otherwise blow over or away. Since they are outside all season long, I am normally happy if they last through a year.I didn’t have a large expectation of this and so it met them pretty well. I wanted to take all the extra rocks out of my garden and repurpose them. I filled the bags with the rocks and use them to add extra weight to my cantilevered umbrella base. Currently the base is filled with water and a bit shaky. This was a great way to repurpose the rocks and add extra weight quickly. Our local store was out of sand since the last storm. The bag held up well and was easy to tie off. Their fairly larger than what I was expecting, but that’s on me.These are quality, affordable sacks! At just a little bit more than $.55 each, they are made out of a woven plastic material that carries a significant amount of weight. They are double woven at the bottom. I was able to fill up entire bag with sandy clay and the seams and ties held up well! Time will tell how they hold up in the SoCal sun. So far, very happy! 5 stars. These 'Woven Polypropylene' bags, at just over 50c per bag, are just what any home or business needs that is in an area prone to flooding, or like in our case where sheets of water want to wash through some outdoor sheds. No significant storms have come through or are on the horizon. These bags, however, seem to be standard-issue and ready for the task, with convenient ties hanging off each of them to secure a full bag.The thing I'm perplexed about is this "1600 hours of UV protection". So, 1600 hours of daylight? Are they counting dawn til dusk, cloud or sun? It sounds like if you leave them out in the sun every day for 4 months they will start to deteriorate ("...treated with a UV inhibitor so they can stay intact after prolonged sun exposure"). This doesn't seem like too bad a deal when you are going to keep them stored until you need them, but in a heavy-use area in a "busy" wet season, you are going to want to have plenty extra on hand.Seems like a solid buy. These sandbags are made from a thick material, allowing you to fill them without concern of weak spots and rips. They tie nicely and stack evenly. These work great for various projects, for me, these are being used to prevent water from escaping an irrigation canal and entering my yard. They are holding up well with each irrigation. Would highly recommend these if you need well priced quality sandbags.
