When looking at the photos prior to purchasing, I didn't know if it was going to be black or green. The first couple of photos appeared to be jet black and the last photo was dark green like the item I received. I purchased this to replace the mesh trash can that I originally had in my backyard. With all the rain we've had lately, I wanted something with a lid so that the bin is not collecting water. It is also good for keeping flies out and the smell down. A 10 gallon trash can is overkill for me considering I only have 2 dogs. It will never get full. I empty it once to twice a week. Overall, I have no complaints. It does exactly what I need it to do.
