I purchased these in multiple sizes for my small business. The first time I purchased them, they were perfect! Great, brown, kraft color and came in packaging that did not bend or wrinkle the envelopes. The second time I purchased these, they came in a bag and were completely bent and wrinkled because they were packed so tightly. The color was not the same as the first purchase, it has a more golden/yellow tone to it and not at all what I was expecting. They do not bring any professionalism to my items and unfortunately lower the aesthetic that I try to achieve for each customer.If you don't care about the color or the overall look of these, it's still a great product but when I purchase an item more than once, I expect consistency and quality. The same product that was originally purchased, should be the same product received upon a second purchase which was not the case for my most recent purchase of this product.These are fairly lightweight paper on the outside. They seem like they could tear easily.NOTE: I was asked to provide an honest review in exchange for a $3 Amazon gift card. I believe in transparency and honesty, which is why I'm disclosing up front that this is a solicited review. Regardless, it's an honest review. I might not have done one for the product had I not received something in return, but my opinion isn't swayed because they paid me.I do a modest amount of business on eBay, mainly selling collectibles like SteelBooks, action figures and comic books. I generally purchase a less expensive paper covered padded mailer for most of my shipments, but I bought these to have on hand for more expensive items, such as premium SteelBooks or ones that are worth more. The mailers are advertised to be stronger and more secure than the less expensive mailers I buy, but in comparing them side-by-side, I'm not sure I can really see or feel a difference. Both are made from comparable quality paper and the bubble padding feels the same to my fingers. I paid just under $12 for a 100 of the cheaper mailers and $13.33 for 20 of these. That's a really steep price difference for an item that I don't feel is significantly better than my other purchase. In my opinion, there isn't enough of a visible difference in quality for me to buy these again. My recommendation is to shop around and save your money.About a quarter of the 500 I ordered are irregular and unusable because they were manufactured improperly. The mailers do not open fully. When you look inside, about half of the plastic is completely fused together, almost as if melted. This happened to MANY of the mailers. I have mailed thousands of my products out so I am very familiar with this size and type of mailer. I can’t fit my products in these faulty mailers. Really annoying and a waste of time and money.These were simple, updated and elegant way to ship items.Used them to send my books to people.Quick delivery as promised and they closed easily & stayed that way. Thick enough to cushion the small items I mailed. My adhesive address labels needed to be taped on so they would stick-not sure if that’s due to old labels or the surface of the envelopes. Very happy with this product!Really nice for shipping small stuff. Well made, durable. Good for shipping things that you want to arrive safely.It's a good envelope, but you'll need to write on a hard surface. I was on my bed writing an address down, and it ripped through.
