Nothing beats theater style popcorn. After a good deal of time reading and researching popcorn makers, I decided on this one and I’m glad I did.I’ve had it for over a month and make popcorn with it almost every night. Out of the box it was easy to set up and everything worked perfectly.I’ve read some people talking about how there are lots of un-popped kernels. The reason why is because these folks aren’t following the basic directions. You need to heat the oil up for 3 or 4 mins before adding the kernels. If you try to cold start it you’ll get lots of unpopped kernels. This is just how these machines work. So keep in mind that all you need to do is be sure to preheat the oil before adding the kernels and you’ll get almost every kernel to pop.This is exactly like movie theater popcorn. The smell and steam it produces is nostalgic. It includes a measuring spoon for oil and a 1/2 cup container for measuring the kernels.4 tbs of oil per 1/2 cup of kernels and it’s perfect every time.Last thing, from a maintenance and cleaning standpoint, I’ve used it so far at least 20-25 in just over a month and aside from scooping out the unused popcorn, I haven’t had to deep clean it with anything at all. The glass is still relatively new looking and holding up quite well. Just a well made machine for home popcorn. Let’s see how it holds up over the coming months. I use it a lot.
