I love everything about this bag! It has plenty of room for stuff. I love the pockets, the center pocket (with a zipper). It is roomy enough to hold all the mom stuff and even baby needs too (a couple of diapers, wipes, and extra outfit, a teether, etc)!Frye makes quality bags (and wallets)! I am going to buy in a different color as well.Very thick leather, and quite a large tote, which is great for travelling. It's a bit too big and bulky to use an an everyday bag. The handles are quite uncomfortable, they're too wide/round so they dig into your shoulder and don't sit right.Love it. High quality and has a beautiful pattern on the inside. Very durableFirst, I am a fan of big bags. I forced myself to downsize to a medium sized bag for the last 2 years, and I was never happy. Now that it bit the dust, I decided it was time to go back to a bigger bag. I bought this tote and the Melissa domed satchel also by Frye and decided to keep the Melissa domed satchel and return this one. Here is what I was after in a new bag:1. Multiple compartments for better organization (instead of one big compartment where things get lost)2. A lighter colored liner to make it easier to see in the dark with my phone’s light3. A zip compartment for my full sized wallet (years ago I was a victim of theft where someone popped open the magnetic closure on my bag)4. A bag that could hold 2 eye glasses cases, a full sized wallet, mask, a small cosmetics bag, hand lotion, hand sanitizer spray, key ring, iPhone 8 Plus, with room to spare for headphones or a book or magazine5. A bag that would not fall off my shoulder when I have my big North Face coat on in the winter (I switched to crossbody bags years ago because of this and was skeptical of shoulder bags)The Melissa Tote only meets needs 1, 2 and 4 above. What I’m absolutely stunned by is how other reviews out here don’t ever mention how awkwardly large the bag is. I’m 5’4” and height-weight proportionate. I found the bag to be too bulky and the straps too short. That resulted in the bag sitting very uncomfortably in my arm pit. I even tried it slung over the inside of my forearm and I just didn’t like it. Check out my pictures for details.Now, even though the bag isn’t for me, it certainly may be your cup of tea. Here’s what to love about this bag:1. The bag was carefully wrapped in layers of tissue paper and full of tissue stuffing. It was then sealed in a big plastic bag, shipped in a big box.2. The bag came with a dust bag.3. This was a genuine Frye bag. (Make sure to buy from Amazon directly. I believe Frye only has authorized resellers, so be wary of 3rd party merchants on Amazon or basement bargain prices unless direct from Amazon.)4. The bag is a beautiful khaki color.5. The quality is impeccable.6. The leather is thick and durable, just like that which they use for their boots.7. The scratches are inevitable due to the type of leather. They’re not signs of inferior quality or imperfection; they’re signs of character, beauty, and memories for all the wonderful adventures that the bag traveled with you.8. Oh, and I can’t forget that lovely leather smell… :)The photo doesn’t do this purse justice! Plenty of room with a divider in the middle. I had the Melissa tote and I had to search for everything. It was like carrying a sack!!! This purse is beautifully crafted!!I think I need another color. If your on the fence, just do it!! ???Love it!! Shipped out fast. Great quality! Je rachèterais leur produit sans hésiterAt first I wasn’t madly IN LOVE with this bag but it has grown on me , after having used it for over a month now I can firmly say I don’t know what I did before I had this bag in my life , my favourite part is the padded cell phone pouch in the center . If you are on the fence about this purse JUST DO IT , you will love it !This bag was a bit more “square” in shape than I had anticipated but it is a deep bag with a wide base so it does hold more than expected without being cumbersome. Rich cognac colour, beautiful leather and sturdy handles to hold it all!! More pricey than some other bags but well worth it and I foresee this one lasting me for many years to come! Lives up to my Frye expectations!!Was already scratched when I took it if the bag...it looks like it was a return!Also, I thought that the slate colour would be more like a grayish colour. This one looks like a brown one.It is very well made. I returned this one and bought another Fry handbag and I love it.Bought it for Xmas for my wife and she was very happy with it, nice quality and plenty of room for her stuff. Nice leather and build quality.
