For the money, they're hard to beat. The "leather" is heavy duty and seems very durable. Lots of little extras too.To start with, there's an aluminum heat shield on the bottom of each bag to help protect it from the hot exhaust. Nice touch.....IMO.Besides being removable, they're also lockable. Both to the bike and with the included brass padlocks. The plastic buckle clips are also lockable.Front facing rain flaps on the tops keep water out when underway as well as a "leather" flap covering the length of the bag opening secured with velcro in the back.So far, I am very happy with these bags. Lots of features without breaking the bank.....and they look pretty good too!
